Why AnonymouslyUrs Exists
“There is a real person behind AnonymouslyUrs, even though I have chosen to remain anonymous.”
From the edge to the center
For much of my life, I believed in God without really living as though He were at the center of it.
I worked, pursued success, sought pleasure, built relationships, and made decisions largely according to my own understanding. God was there, but too often He was somewhere at the edge of my life rather than at its center.
Over time, that changed.
Learning the limits of self-reliance
Some of the most difficult experiences of my life forced me to confront how limited my own understanding really was. I came to see more clearly that a life built around self-reliance eventually reaches its limits.
There are questions we cannot answer, outcomes we cannot control, and circumstances we would never choose. Faith, for me, has increasingly become learning to trust God when I do not understand what He is doing.
Failure, repentance, and returning
I do not look back on my earlier life as wasted. I regret things. I have failed in ways that mattered. But I am also grateful, because I believe God has used even the parts of my life I would not have chosen.
I have come to understand repentance less as living under guilt and more as recognizing when I have wandered, turning back toward God, and finding that He is still there.
That may be the simplest way I can describe what changed in me.
I spent a long time trying to build a life around what I wanted, what I understood, and what I could control. I now believe the deeper question is much simpler:

“Do I trust God, or do I trust myself?”
“That choice does not happen only once. It happens again and again.”
Why I remain anonymous
I am also a deeply private person. That is one reason I have chosen to remain anonymous. Privacy has always mattered to me, and perhaps that is part of why creating a place where other people can come privately with their questions, prayers, struggles, and hopes felt so natural.
From technology to service
I spent much of my working life using computers. It was something I knew how to do. Eventually, I began to think less about what I could build for myself and more about whether I could use what I knew in service to God.
AnonymouslyUrs grew from that desire.
A place to support faith, not replace it
This site does not exist because I have all the answers or because I have lived an exemplary life.
Keeping the founder in the background
I do not see this site as a monument to its founder. Quite the opposite. I would rather the person behind it remain in the background so that the attention can remain where I believe it belongs.
On God.
The hope behind the site
My hope is not that every visitor leaves with every question answered. I have learned that some questions remain unanswered. Sometimes faith means reaching the limit of what we can understand and simply resting in the conviction that God is good and that He is still in control.
My hope is simpler.
That someone who comes here hurting, uncertain, ashamed, searching, or simply curious might leave a little closer to knowing God.
